COACHING

Coaching consultations typically consist of an initial meeting between a coach and a client, during which they discuss the client’s goals, challenges, and expectations. The primary purpose is to assess whether the coach-client relationship will be a good fit and to set a foundation for future coaching sessions. Here’s what the process generally involves:

  1. Introduction & Rapport Building: The session often begins with both parties getting to know each other, which helps establish a comfortable, trusting relationship.

  2. Clarification of Goals: The client is encouraged to articulate their objectives, whether they are career-related, personal development, leadership skills, or life balance.

  3. Assessment of Current Situation: The coach may ask questions to understand the client’s current status, any challenges they face, and previous efforts to achieve their goals.

  4. Coaching Approach Overview: The coach explains their methods, coaching style, and what the client can expect from the process. This might include different coaching techniques like solution-focused approaches or mindset shifts.

  5. Mutual Expectations: Both the coach and the client discuss their roles and responsibilities. It’s also a chance to set expectations about the frequency and duration of sessions.

  6. Action Plan: If both parties agree to move forward, the coach might begin outlining a plan of action, establishing measurable objectives or outcomes for future sessions.

  7. Logistics: Discussion of session frequency, fees, confidentiality agreements, and scheduling.

The consultation is designed to ensure that the coach can meet the client’s needs and that there’s a mutual understanding of how to proceed.
